2011 was...well, it was. There were good things about the year and not good things about the year. It was a strange year for me but I learned some things about myself and I can honestly say it's a year I will not forget. It sounds like 2011 was a challenging year for many people in many different respects so here's hoping that 2012 rewards us for getting through 2011.
Stitching-wise, I do consider 2011 to be a fairly successful year. I had a total of 11 finishes this year; not many in comparison to other folks but considering each of those 11 pieces were started AND finished this year, I think that is cause for celebration!

I didn't do nearly as much reading this year, finishing only 14 books. In comparison, I read 30 books last year. Oh well. Hobbies ebb and flow so I guess 2011 wasn't a big reading year for me. For the most part I really enjoyed the books I did read, so we'll consider it a year of quality over quantity. :-)
Once again, I thank all of you who stop by to read my blog and I appreciate each and every one of your comments. May 2012 be a stitchy year for all of us!

You had some lovely finishes! I totally get what you said about hobbies ebbing and flowing - I read a grand total of 2 books last year compared to about 60 or so the year before.
Quite an accomplishment for 2011. I really enjoyed looking at your picture collage. Here's to many more finished projects in 2012 :)
Hugs,
Veronica.
You had some lovely finishes in 2011, congratulations. I hope 2012 is just as successful.
Sounds like you accomplished a lot in 2011, hoping you have an even better 2012.
Some lovely finishes.
Re your question: Did you alternate the beads each stitch or did you leave a stitch between each bead?
I left a stitch in between each of the beads.
I think you accomplished a lot this year! I had only 3 finishes, and read only 1 book. Between working full time and taking college classes, my hobby time is nearly nonexistent. When I do have the time, I often find myself too tired or mentally drained to pick up a needle. Hopefully, this will be a more productive year for me. Congrats on all your finishes! Feel good about them.
