Now that the new year has started, it's time to set a few aspirations for this year's stitching. I'm not really a big fan of goal setting because I find that after I set a goal, I tend to ignore it and then feel badly about myself when the deadline for achieving that goal passes. Am I the only one who does this? It's totally counter-intuitive but it seems to be the way my mind works so I find it easier to say I have aspirations rather than particular goals.
In reading other blogs, I've seen a lot of really ambitious goals for the year and I feel that my aspirations are pretty tame in comparison. That said, these are things I would like to try and accomplish this year:
1. Finish Victoria Sampler's Heirloom Stitching Sampler (the deadline for this is early in the year).
2. Finish Lavender Wings' Midnight.
3. Finish Just Nan's Ice Blossom.
4. Finish M Designs' Little Witch.
5. Start John Clayton's Neuschwanstein Castle.
Any other projects started/completed other than this list are a bonus.
I've been working on Heirloom Stitching Sampler this week and things are coming along pretty well. I'm currently on the 4th band (the Colonial Stitchers) and I'll post a photo of my progress tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by!
